Executive Summary:
Dr. Chien Chen graduated from Chang Gung University and completed her neurology specialist training at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan. She became the visiting staff and neurological consultant in 2003. Dr. Chen was the Secretary General of the Taiwan Epilepsy Society and the Children's Epilepsy Association of Taiwan from 2013 to 2021.
Dr. Chen started her research interest in management and pathophysiology of epilepsy, especially in pediatric epilepsy and presurgical evaluations of drug-resistant epilepsy. She had organized more than 30 comprehensive multi-centered epilepsy case conferences since 2011 in Taiwan and became president of the Taiwan epilepsy society in 2025.
She also works as a secretary and member of ASEPA (Asian epilepsy academy) since 2019, has conducted numerous educational courses and international congresses in the Asia-Oceania region.
