Executive Summary：
Dr. Ta-Cheng Chen accomplished his neurology specialist training at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taoyuan, Taiwan. He became the attending doctor and neurological consultant since 1993 at China medial college Beigang branch Hospital. Dr. Chen was the chief of Epilepsy Division, Neurological Department, Changhua Christian Hospital since 2008 till now. He was assigned as Department Director of Neurological Department, Changhua Christian Hospital since 2011 till now. He is now being Executive Director of Taiwan Epilepsy society.
Dr. Chen started his research interest in electrophysiology diagnosis and treatment of Epileptic disorders, especially in the Electroencephalogram since 2001. He began to do research about relationship between cerebellum and epilepsy by MRI volume measurement, repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) treatment for drug resistance focal onset epilepsy and anticonvulsant related quantitative EEG change. Since 2013, he was committed to writing the electroencephalogram guidelines of Taiwan Epilepsy Society and continued to do revision.
Research Interests:
The effect of antiepileptic drugs on Electroencephalogram especially by quantitative EEG; this helps clinical epilepsy treatment. On the other hand, he is interested in the clinical diagnostic application of traditional Electroencephalogram reading.
