Wei-Ta Chen, MD, PhD, is a professor of neurology and a headache specialist at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, as well as in the School of Medicine at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. He also serves as the Medical Director of Easeful Clinic in Taipei.

Dr. Chen became a board-certified neurologist in 2001 and earned his PhD from the Institute of Neuroscience at National Yang-Ming University in 2009. From 2010 to 2012, he conducted research as a visiting scholar at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston.

With a longstanding commitment to advancing the understanding of chronic pain, Dr. Chen integrates machine learning, magnetoencephalography (MEG), electroencephalography (EEG), and both structural and functional MRI to explore the pathophysiology and neuroplasticity underlying conditions such as migraine, tension-type headache, and fibromyalgia.

From 2020 to 2023, he served as President of the Taiwan Headache Society. He was also Deputy Superintendent of Keelung Hospital under the Ministry of Health and Welfare in Taiwan from 2021 to 2025.

To date, Dr. Chen has authored more than 120 research articles published in leading medical journals, including Brain, Neurology, Pain, NeuroImage, and Cephalalgia. In addition, he has authored and edited several books on headache and chronic pain and holds four patents related to the assessment of brain excitability, pain sensitivity, and psychological stress.

Dr. Liang-Po Hsieh accomplished his neurology specialist training at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taoyuan, Taiwan. He became the attending doctor of neurology department at Cheng-Ching Hospital, Taichung, Taiwan since 1996. Dr. Hsieh was the Vice superintendent and Chair of Medical Education Department at Cheng-Ching Hospital since 2015 till now. He behaved the president or Taiwan Epilepsy Society form 2019-2021. He was also the director of Taiwan Epilepsy Association since 2015-2025. Now a day, Dr. Hsieh is the supervisor of Taiwan Epilepsy Society. and executive director of Taiwan Epilepsy Association.
Dr. Hsieh started his research interest in epidemiology of epilepsy in Taiwan. He used the data of National Health Insurance Research Database (NHIRD) of Taiwan to estimate the prevalence and incidence rate of epilepsy in Taiwan. And described the prescription patterns and dosages of antiseizure medicines in prevalent patients
in Taiwan.

Dr. Lu graduated from China Medical University and received neurological resident training in China Medical University Hospital (CMUH), Taichung, Taiwan. In addition to the clinical practice experience, he also pursued his research training focusing on clinical neurophysiology. His research interests include pathophysiology of movement disorders and noninvasive neuromodulation. He applied EEG, TMS and MR-guided focused ultrasound to investigate and monitor neurodegenerative disorders, focusing on Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor. He has some publications regarding this field. He is currently a faculty of College of Medicine in CMU and an active member of Taiwan Society of Clinical Neurophysiology and Taiwan Movement Disorder Society.
